Welcome!

Hello and welcome to "The Looney Bin: Analysis of Mental Health Issues" © Megan Snider This site is the brainchild of Megan Snider, a freelance writer and holder of a Bachelor's in English Literature.

It was set up to tackle a complex host of mental health issues from the point of the consumer, who is so often overlooked in the process. Its mission is to infiltrate and lay bare the devastating world of mental illness and to offer a constructive voice in alleviating some of the problems in the overtaxed and obtrusive psychiatric world.

If you would like to use an excerpt from this site on your own personal page, please be sure to include my full name and a link to my blog. This blog is maintained for free and struggles with deep delving issues in psychiatry. I would like my name and my blog's link to accompany my articles as you would do with any other source you quote.

I hope you find something you've been looking for on this site and enjoy your visit. Please remember that while you are free to leave this site, the struggles and stigma continues in the outside world for people with mental illnesses. I hope I have challenged some of your assumptions and beliefs in the time you have spent here.

Disclaimer: As I mentioned before, everything on this blog is my own intellectual property. This means that it is covered by a copyright ensuring that it belongs solely to me. If you wish to use an excerpt or post or quote me you must either contact me via my personal e-mail on this page or include my name with the article along with a link back to my blog. Under the copyright laws I may sue someone for copyright infringement for stealing ideas or simply copying and pasting any part or the whole of one of my blogs onto a site and claiming it to be his or her own. I work hard to write and update this site. If you respect my cause and me, you will ask permission or mention my name along with a link back to this site when using one of my blogs, a piece of one of my blogs or quoting ANY of my writing on these blogs. Remember that Blogger and Wordpress have time stamps on their posts which clearly show when I have uploaded a post. Also, notice the use of the "© Megan Snider" at the start and end of each of my blogs. This is to show that all of this is my actual and original bona fide work. I do check to see if people use my blogs. If they include my name and a link redirecting them to my blog, it does not bother me. If they do not do this, it bothers me a great deal. Simply know that according to attorneys, I retain the intellectual copyright to my own ideas. If you are going to be underhanded with me and try to steal, I will pursue. My writing means a great deal to me and all of the research provided here is free and from intensely studying things or experiencing some myself.

Have a wonderful day!
